I was originally making a stencil but I didn't have any cardstock or spray paint. Didn't feel like waiting until tomorrow (and possibly cutting my fingers) so the process just became a completely random sequence. First I did a digital trace, printed it out, unintentionally got print streaks, printed a heavily contrasted concrete backdrop over the same page, sprayed the back with Pam (beats me man), dried it with a hairdryer, hung it backwards on my LCD TV over a paused frame of a church (for some color) while watching Saving Private Ryan, took a picture, mirrored the file and sharpened the detail.
As unexpected the steps were, the result has a mood I like. Planning less and DOING more. The EX series has done quite a bit for me already.
This pic is awesome man, I'm going to have to try that trick with the pam. Do you think it HAS to be a church on the screen? I'd rather play my imported (*caugh pirated*) copy of Advent children. The action creates a strobe light effect! Though as pale as they all are it might not add much color...
